Vineyard Wind awards submarine power cable contract to Prysmian Group

Massachusetts-based offshore wind farm company, Vineyard Wind has awarded a submarine power cable contract to Italy-based Prysmian Group for its transmission network project associated with the former’s offshore wind power generation project at Barnstable City in the state of Massachusetts.

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) has approved a USD50 million loan for the Panamanian electric transmission company Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica, S.A. (ETESA) to provide short-term resources to the latter to initiate the development of high voltage electrical infrastructure.

Prysmian Group to supply 69 kV XLPE cables for Fundy Isles project in Canada

Ecuador's state-owned power company La Empresa Pública Estratégica Corporación Eléctrica del Ecuador (CELEC EP) has signed a contract with the Chinese Changjiang Institute of Survey, Planning, Design and Research (CISPDR) to study and design the country’s northeast transmission system.

Abengoa receives USD54 million transmission contract from Chilean Quebrada Blanca

Spanish multilateral corporation Abengoa SA has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Chile-based Compañia Minera Teck Quebrada Blanca S.A., part of the Grupo Teck Mining Inc., for seven 220 kV electrical substations of 220/23 kV and 220/6.9 kV for the second phase of the Quebrada Blanca mine in Chile.
