Construction of 500 kV transmission line bypass in Canada [free access]

Description/Scope of work: Requests for proposals (RfPs) are invited for construction of an approximately 5 km, 500 kV transmission line bypass that will include material handling, site preparation, installation of eleven self-supported lattice towers with grillage or rock anchored foundations, assembly, and erection of towers, stringing of a four bundle phase conductor, and testing and commissioning near Telkwa, BC. The scope of work might also entail some optional work, inclusing removal and decommissioning of 2.3 km of existing 500 kV transmission line which include six guyed lattice towers, near Telkwa as well as, connection of newly constructed 5L063 line bypass to existing alignment.  The duration of the contract will be up to 2023 from the date of award. This opportunity is subject to Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement.
