Global Electricity Transmission Report and Database, 2018-2027

Global Transmission Research's fourth edition of the Global Electricity Transmission Report will analyse the growth and investment opportunities in the high voltage electricity transmission sectors of around 100 countries. Further, it will include the key developments and trends, latest data and statistics (from 2006 to 2017), and offer growth projections up to 2027. The report focuses on the high-voltage transmission segment of 110 kV and above levels.

The report will have three distinct sections and will be presented in PowerPoint (PDF format) and Excel database formats. The data and analysis will be presented through insightful graphs, figures and tables.

Part 1 of the report will be a PowerPoint (PDF format) presentation and will provide analysis of the existing state of, and the expected opportunities in, the global high voltage electricity transmission industry. It will also examine the developments and trends shaping the industry and discuss the key growth drivers and challenges. In addition, it will provide expected growth and outlook for the industry.

Part 2 of the report will also be a PowerPoint (PDF format) presentation and will provide detailed profiles of around 100 countries. These countries are organised into six regions: North America, Latin America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Each section will mention a regional analysis on the key developments and the growth opportunities in that region. The report will cover two countries in North America, 11 countries in Latin America, 35 countries in Europe, 21 countries in Asia, 12 countries in Africa and 8 countries in the Middle East.

Each country’s profile will provide data and analysis on:

  • Industry structure and key players
  • Existing generation capacity and production
  • Expected demand and addition to generation capacity
  • Existing transmission network and capacity
  • - Line length by voltage level, technology (AC and DC) and by type of line (overhead, underground and      undersea)
    - Transformer capacity
    - Number of substations/transformers
    - Line length of key transmission companies
  • Expected growth in transmission network and capacity
  • - Expected growth in line length by voltage level, technology (AC and DC) and by type of line (overhead, underground and undersea)
    - Expected growth in transformer capacity
  • Expected investment in transmission network

Part 3 of the report will be an Excel database and will provide:

  • Detailed data and statistics for 2006-2017, and projections up to 2027 for each country in a tabular format
  • List of key electricity transmission projects planned for each country

This report and database are indispensible for any organisation interested in the global high voltage transmission industry — utilities, system operators, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, EPC contractors, service and technology providers, investors/lenders, research organisations, industry consultants, regulatory agencies, development institutions, etc.

The package is priced at USD5,000.

There are also special “early bird” discounts – the price is USD3,750 (25 per cent discount) for orders and payments received on or before December 15, 2017 and USD4,375  (12.5 per cent discount) for orders and payments received on or before January 19, 2018.
