Prysmian Group to supply 69 kV XLPE cables for Fundy Isles project in Canada

US-based Central Maine Power (CMP) and Canadian Hydro-Québec have signed a settlement agreement with Maine's State Office of Public Advocate, Maine's Chamber of Commerce, the Industrial Energy Consumers' Group, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and New England environmentalist groups—the Conservation Law Foundation and Acadia Center—offering more than USD437 million in rate relief, subsidies and network upgrades in Maine in order to gain support for the New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC) project.

El Inga–Tisaleo Project to complete by mid-2019 in Ecuador [free access]

As per the latest update, the 500 kV El Inga–Tisaleo Project in Ecuador is likely to be completed by mid-2019. The project being developed by Ecuador's state-owned power company La Empresa Pública Estratégica Corporación Eléctrica del Ecuador (CELEC EP), and aims to transport clean energy from the Coca Codo Sinclair and Sopladora hydroelectric plants to large consumption centres in the country.
