NYSERDA awards two projects to promote research of cleaner grid technologies

Paraguay-based ANDE awards contract to Consorcio Siemens-Rieder 500 kV

Paraguay’s state-owned power company Administración Nacional de Electricidad (ANDE) has selected Consorcio Siemens–Rieder 500 kV (Siemens, a global electrical engineering and electronics company, and Rieder & Cia, a Paraguay-based integrated solutions provider for energy industry) for the design, supply and installation of a Contingency Control Scheme for the recently completed 500 kV Yacyretá–Ayolas–Villa Hayes line, and Ayolas and Villa Hayes substations.

Mainstream Renewable Power and Transelec sign Chilean transmission contract

The UK-based subsea engineering, construction and services company Seaway 7 (a subsidiary of Subsea 7 S.A), has bagged a contract from Optimus Wind Limited (a subsidiary of the Ørsted Group) for the installation of the entire inner array grid cable system for the 1.4 GW Hornsea Two offshore wind farm project in the North Sea.

Egyptian EETC signs contract with Siemens for digital power transformers
