Siemens gets HV equipment contract for US Mayflower offshore wind project

The German energy-engineering firm Siemens has bagged a contract from the Denmark-based Semco Maritime, to provide the main equipment for the electrical service platform (ESP) for the Mayflower offshore wind farm to be located in the south of Nantucket, Massachusetts in the US.

Great River Energy and Form Energy sign contract for energy storage project

Massachusetts-based Form Energy, a company developing energy storage for the grid, signed a contract with Minnesota-based utility, Great River Energy, to jointly deploy a 1 MW/150 MWh pilot project to be located in Cambridge, Minnesota.

NECEC awards contracts worth USD7 million to four Maine-based companies

Bolivian ENDE awards USD10 million contract to Ingener, Siemens

Bolivian state energy company Empresa Nacional de Electricidad’s (ENDE) subsidiary, ENDE Transmission, has awarded a USD10 million contract to a consortium comprising of Uruguay’s Ingener and German Siemens for the development and commissioning of a 50 MVAr static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) system.

Spanish Elecnor bags 185 MW wind farm contract in Chile

NKT bags EUR235 million turnkey order for 600 MW link to Scottish mainland

The Danish supplier of power cable solutions, NKT Cables, has bagged an approximately EUR235 million contract from SSE Networks Transmission (SSEN Transmission)—the transmission business of the Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) company—to deliver and install the cables for the 600 MW subsea link between the Scottish mainland and the Shetland Islands.

The German utility RWE subsidiary, RWE Renewables has chosen the consortium of GE Renewable Energy’s Grid Solutions division and Sembcorp Marine’s network solutions as the preferred bidders for the transmission system associated with its 1, 400 MW Sofia offshore wind project.

State-owned Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) has signed an EGP143 million contract with Siemens Technologies S.A.E (Egyptian unit of the German-based Siemens) for the establishment of the 66/11 kV Bashayer El-Kheir III and V gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) substation.

NPCC bags SAR61 million, 380 kV OHTL contract from Saudi’s SEC

Pakistan-based National Power Construction Corporation (NPCC) has bagged a SAR61 million contract from the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) for the construction of overhead transmission line (OHTL) connecting the 380/132/13.8 kV Al Aseelh (ASL) bulk supply point (BSP) with the grid network.

Oman’s OETC awards USD91 million for two 400 kV substation EPC contracts

Recently, Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) has awarded two 400 kV substation engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts worth USD91 million to Oman National Engineering & Investment Company SAOG (ONEIC); and to a joint venture (JV) of local Trade Links & Services (TLS) and Civil Contracting Company (CIVILCO).

Egyptian EETC contracts local Madkour Group for 220 kV El-Dabaa substation
