Nexans bags cable supply contract from SSE Renewables in Scotland

French copper and optical fibre cable manufacturer, Nexans, has secured a power export cable supply contract from SSE Renewables, a subsidiary of Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE), for the Seagreen offshore wind farm project in the North Sea.

Paraguay-based ANDE awards contract to Consorcio Siemens-Rieder 500 kV

Paraguay’s state-owned power company Administración Nacional de Electricidad (ANDE) has selected Consorcio Siemens–Rieder 500 kV (Siemens, a global electrical engineering and electronics company, and Rieder & Cia, a Paraguay-based integrated solutions provider for energy industry) for the design, supply and installation of a Contingency Control Scheme for the recently completed 500 kV Yacyretá–Ayolas–Villa Hayes line, and Ayolas and Villa Hayes substations.
