Great River Energy and Form Energy sign contract for energy storage project

Massachusetts-based Form Energy, a company developing energy storage for the grid, signed a contract with Minnesota-based utility, Great River Energy, to jointly deploy a 1 MW/150 MWh pilot project to be located in Cambridge, Minnesota.

NECEC awards contracts worth USD7 million to four Maine-based companies

NECEC LLC awards USD300 million contract to Cianbro

New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC) LLC has awarded more than USD300 million in contracts to Maine’s largest general contractor Cianbro, in a joint venture (JV) with Irby Construction, Sargent Electric and Northern Clearing, Inc. (NCI), to build and upgrade transmission systems and securing land clearing permissions for the NECEC project.

Trans Mountain and Valard Construction to construct 138 kV line in Canada with LNIBDC

British Columbia-based Trans Mountain Corporation and Valard Construction LP (Valard) have entered into a partnership with Lower Nicola Indian Band Development Corporation (LNIBDC) to build, own, operate and maintain the new 138 kV Kingsvale electricity transmission line that will run through the LNIBDC’s traditional territory.

Salasar Techno Engineering bags contract from Indian state transmission utility

Indian engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor, Salasar Techno Engineering Limited, has bagged a contract worth INR0.28 billion from state-owned transmission utility Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) for the construction of 220 kV and 66 kV transmission lines in Yamunanagar and Ambala district areas on a turnkey basis in Haryana.

Iberdrola subsidiary awards EUR80 million contract to Prysmian for Saint Brieuc offshore wind farm

Ailes Marines (a simplified joint stock company, held at 100 per cent by Spanish electric utility company Iberdrola) in charge of the development, construction, installation and operation of the French Saint Brieuc offshore wind farm, has awarded the Italian cable company, Prysmian Group, a EUR80 million contract to provide submarine inter-array cable systems for the offshore wind farm.
