• Grand Isle Intertie Project, US

  May 1, 2013
  The Grand Isle Intertie (GII) project entails the construction of a 34 mile (55 km) long, 230 kV phase angle regulator (PAR) transmission line from Plattsburg in New York to Burlington in Vermont.

• Shipe Road–Kings River Project, US

  May 1, 2013
  The project entails the construction of the Kings River substation near Berryville in Carroll County, Arkansas, and a 48 mile (77.7 km), 345 kV transmission line from the under construction Shipe Road substation near Centerton in Benton County to the proposed Kings River substation.

• Quarry–Seidersville Transmission Line, US

  May 1, 2013
  The proposed line is part of the USD1 billion effort to reduce power outages during major storms.

• Elm Creek–Summit Transmission Line Project, US

  April 1, 2013
  The Elm Creek–Summit transmission line project aims to improve the reliability of the high voltage grid in central Kansas.

• Great Northern Transmission Line, US–Canada [free access]

  April 1, 2013
  The project proposes to transport hydropower generated by Canadian power utility Manitoba Hydro to regions of Minnesota and the upper Midwest in the US.

• Northwest Transmission Line Project, Canada

  April 1, 2013
  The Northwest Transmission Line Project (NTL) entails the construction of a 344-km, 287 kV transmission line between the Skeena substation near Terrace and a new Bob Quinn substation proposed near the Bob Quinn Lake.

• R-Plan Transmission Line, US

  The USD380 million project is part of the Southwest Power Pool’s (SPP) Integrated Transmission Plan (ITP10).

• Antelope Valley Station to Neset Transmission Project, US

  The project entails the construction of a 190-mile long (306-km), 345 kV single-circuit transmission line.

• Big Stone South–Ellendale Transmission Line, US

  The Big Stone South–Ellendale transmission line (BSSE) entails the construction of a 150-175 mile long (242-282 km), 345 kV transmission line.

• Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project Segments 4–11, US

  The Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project (TRTP) is aimed at tapping wind-generated electricity in the Tehachapi Pass in Kern County in the state of California.

• Center to Grand Forks Project, US

  The cooperative has proposed to build 225 miles (360 km) of a new 345 kV transmission line from Center to Grand Forks in North Dakota.

• New England East–West Solution Transmission Project, US

  The New England East–West Solution (NEEWS) comprises four interrelated 354 kV transmission projects aimed to improve reliability of the transmission system in southern New England.

• Champlain Hudson Power Express Project, US–Canada

  The USD2.2 billion Champlain Hudson Power Express (CHPE) transmission project involves construction of a 333 mile (536 km), ±300 kV high voltage direct current (HVDC) undersea cable line from Québec in Canada to the proposed Astoria Queens converter station in the Champlain Valley of New York City.

• Island Falls Dam–Key Lake Line, Canada

  SaskPower, the power utility of Canada’s Saskatchewan province, has proposed the construction of a 186 mile (300 km), 230 kV overhead transmission line.

• Atlantic Wind Connection Project, US [free access]

  February 1, 2013
  The Atlantic Wind Connection (AWC) project entails construction of a 300 mile (483 km) power line buried beneath the sea floor to link wind turbines off the coasts of New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.

• I–5 Corridor Reinforcement Project, US

  February 1, 2013
  The The USD342 million project involves construction of a new 500 kV transmission line between two new substations, in the Castle Rock area of Washington and Troutdale in Oregon along the I–5 corridor.

• Plains & Eastern Clean Line Project, US

  February 1, 2013

• North–South Transmission Reinforcement Project, Canada

  The North–South Transmission Reinforcement Project entails construction of two ±500 kV high voltage direct current (HVDC) power lines between Edmonton and Calgary.

  The Grain Belt Express Clean Line project entails construction of a 700-mile (1,127 km), ±600 kV high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line running from Ford County, Kansas to south of St. Louis, Missouri.

• Northern Pass Transmission Line, US–Canada
