Malaysian RTB bags MYR192 million worth contracts in Bangladesh [free access]

Malaysian Rohas Tecnic Bhd’s (RTB) subsidiary, HG Power Transmission Sdn Bhd (HGPT), has secured two contracts from the state-owned Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited (PGCB), with a combined worth of MYR192 million for the installation of power lines in Bangladesh.

 

The first contract, worth MYR126 million, entails the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 230 kV and 132 kV power lines on a turnkey basis. The duration of the contract is 30 months.

 

The second contract, worth MYR66 million, entails the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of another 132 kV power lines in Bangladesh, on a turnkey basis. The duration of the contract is 24 months.

 

Both the contracts were secured in open international tender domain and are being funded by Germany’s KfW Entwicklungsbank (KfW Development Bank).
