Brazilian BNDES approves BRL2.45 billion loan to Neoenergia [free access]

Brazilian state-owned Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES) or the National Bank for Economic and Social Development has approved a BRL2.45 billion loan for three projects of Neoenergia, a part of Spanish group Iberdrola, in Brazil.

 

The funds involve BRL778 million and BRL375 million for the transmission project works awarded to the company in auctions held in December and April 2017, and BRL1.3 billion for the Chafariz wind complex.

 

A total of BRL778 million has been awarded to special purpose entity (SPE), EKTT 1 Serviços de Transmissão de Energia Elétrica SPE SA (EKTT 1), for Lot 4 awarded during Auction No. 02/2017 in December 2017, for the construction of the 500 kV Miracema–Gilbués II C3 single-circuit line of 418 km and 500 kV Gilbués II–Barreiras II C2, single-circuit line of 311 km.

 

A total of BRL375 million has been awarded to EKTT 12 Serviços de Transmissão de Energia Elétrica SPE SA (EKTT 12) for Lot 4 awarded during Auction No. 05/2016 in April 2017, for the construction of 230 kV Rio Brilhante–Dourados 2 C1 line of 122 km; 230 kV Nova Porto Primavera–Rio Brilhante, C2 line of 137 km; 230 kV Nova Porto Primavera–Ivinhema 2, C2 line of 64 km; 230 kV Rio Brilhante–Campo Grande 2 C1, line of 149 km; 230 kV Imbirussu–Campo Grande 2 C2 line of 57.3 km; 230 kV Dourados–Dourados II C2 line of 48.2 km; 230/138 Dourados 2 substation of 2x150 MVA capacity; and the line stretch from Dourados 2 substation to sectioning of the 230 kV Dourados–Ivinhema 2 line of 2x15.6 km.
