July 22, 2019

India-based CG Power and Industrial Solutions, via its wholly-owned subsidiary CG Holdings Belgium, has bagged a contract worth EUR12.5 million for the construction of high voltage (HV) substations for connecting the 400 MW Dumat Al Jandal wind farm in Saudi Arabia to the country’s grid network.

The wind farm will be Saudi Arabia's first large-scale onshore wind farm and the largest in the Middle East region. A Consortium comprising of US-based EDF Renewables and the United Arab of Emirates (UAE)-based Masdar is developing it. CG has been selected by the wind farm developer to design and construct the substations that will connect the wind farm to the national grid.
