The African Development Bank (AfDB) has approved a USD218 million loan to the South African state-owned power utility Eskom Holdings SOC Limited (Eskom) for the implementation of the Eskom Transmission Improvement Project (ETIP). The total loan amount includes an additional co-financing of USD25 million from the Africa Growing Together Fund (AGTF).
