L&T bags HV transmission projects in Middle East [free access]

Indian engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged high voltage (HV) transmission projects in the Middle East.


The company has secured a contract from Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) for the construction of a 400-km-long, 380 kV double-circuit overhead transmission line connecting the Qassim 2 and Madina East Bulk Supply Point (BSPs) substations.


In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the contract is for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of three 132/11 kV substations and undertaking associated works. Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), Shamal Development LLC and Meraas Development LLC have awarded one contract each to L&T.
