China provides USD41 million for 330 kV transmission line in Zambia [free access]

China has signed an agreement to provide a concessional loan worth USD41 million to Zambia for the construction of a 330 kV transmission line.

 

The project entails construction of a 120 km long, 330 kV transmission line from Kariba North Bank power station to a Kafue West substation. As per the agreement, the Export and Import Bank of China will provide the funds to the Ministry of Finance of Zambia.
